 The Bariatric Counseling Center provides an innovative behavioral healthcare program designed to help people struggling with obesity, emotional over-eating, binge eating, and weight loss. The program is covered by most health insurance plans.

On Wednesday, April 19th between 4 and 7 pm, tour the facility and meet our team of licensed therapists, dietitians and chefs, as well as our registered nurse and kinesiologist.

Enjoy samples of healthy and tasty meals prepared in our teaching kitchen.

About the Bariatric Counseling Center IOP

The immersive multi-disciplinary sessions include:

· Nutrition education with our registered dietitians

· Therapy with our clinical psychologist and licensed professional counselors

· Movement instruction with our physical therapist and kinesiologist

· Medical assessments with our program nurse

· Culinary education and demonstrations in our state-of-the-art teaching kitchen with our executive chef and sous chef

· Delicious healthy meals in an environment where clients are supported in practicing mindful eating

Meet our New Therapist!

We are excited to welcome Stephanie Valdez-Herrera to the BCC team!

Stephanie is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2012. Since then, Stephanie completed EMDR Basic Training by Rick Levinson and training to become a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist from The Wellness Institute.

Stephanie's passion is to help clients achieve their goals and guide them in reaching their full potential by providing a safe and non- judgmental environment, tailoring services to the client’s specific need, and implementing a Person-Centered and Holistic Approach.

Meet our New Nurse!

We are also excited to welcome Alicia Coderoni to the BCC team!

Alicia Coderoni has been a registered nurse since 2016 and enjoys working closely with her patients to help them reach their health goals through a holistic lens. She recently became a Nurse coach to enhance her practice and help facilitate a closer patient/provider relationship. She is originally from NJ and moved to Texas 12 years ago. She is a mom of a 14 year old girl and two 6 year old mini Schnauzers. She loves listening to music, being outdoors and spending time with her family at the beach.
