About the Foundation
The Foundation was created in 1995 by the Bexar County Medical Society (physician members) and the Bexar County Medical Society Alliance as the philanthropic arm of the Society. Its mission is to support healthcare issues in the San Antonio community and increase educational opportunities healthcare careers. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships to area students pursuing careers in the medical, nursing and other health-related careers.
