Women in Medicine Committee

Purpose: To promote women leaders in medicine; recruit and retain women members in Bexar County Medical Society and the TMA; address special needs and issues for women physicians.

• Identifies & promotes women leadership in Bexar County Medical Society

• Promotes membership and participation of women physicians in the activities of the Society

• Identifies special needs of women physicians

• Plans the annual "Women In Medicine Appreciation Dinner" (choose speaker, solicit underwriting, develop budget and logistics.)

The Chairman is appointed by the President. All other members of the committee are selected by the President based upon time, interest, and commitment.

Meetings are scheduled as needed.

The required attendance commitment for committee participation is 50%. Volunteers are asked to commit to the attendance (participation) requirement of a minimum of three meetings of this committee during the year.
