The Weekly Dose           Bexar County Medical Society

Week of June 30,  2013

Vol. 2, No. 42

Taking charge

By John K. Wisniewski

BCMS CEO/Executive Director

I thought this was a good week to highlight the fact that YOU are in charge of your patients.

You get to set the expectations, you get to write the orders, and you get to call the shots.  Everyone else is important: the care team, employer, case manager, payer, heck, even the regulators.  But it's YOU in whom the patients have entrusted their lives.

They not only expect your brilliance and sensitivity, they also expect your courage and leadership.
