988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. This dialing code is now available to everyone across the United States. Find out more

Integrating Positive and Adverse Childhood Events into Pediatric Care (IPACE)
San Antonio Metro Health’s Clinician Ambassadors are piloting a new pilot program in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Association for County and the City Health Officials (NACCHO), focused on pediatric providers. The pilot aims to promote positive childhood experiences and improved mental and physical health. Find more information here.

DSHS: Consider Paxlovid as COVID Cases Rise
With Texas’ COVID-19 case and hospitalization numbers on a recent upward swing, the state is reminding physicians about the therapeutics available to treat high-risk patients with mild to moderate COVID-19. The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) asks them to consider prescribing Paxlovid to all eligible patients. Learn more

2022 BCMS Leadership Series is now enrolling participants. Develop your leadership skills to advance your career, enhance your team and work environment. Topics include Fundamentals of Leadership, Design Thinking and Leadership, Traits of High-performing Leaders, Economics of the Health Care Industry, and more. Five Saturday classes held 8 a.m. to noon every other week beginning August 13. $500 enrollment fee. Enroll Now
