Measles Cases in Texas Increase to 717
The Texas Department of State Health Services reported 717 cases of measles statewide on Tuesday. Federal data released last week indicated the number of measles cases in the country exceeded 1,000 for the first time in five years. Meanwhile, New Mexico's health department reported 71 cases, unchanged from its last update. Most of the cases are from Lea County, adjacent to Gaines County in Texas. Learn more.
